The Herdwick sheep who roam the Lake District fells are the inspiration for our exclusive range of bags, accessories, cushions & caps. Utilising the natural shades of their fleece we weave pure Herdwick wool worsted tweed.
Designed, hand cut & sewn our products are a reflection of the farming heritage of Cumbria.
Our tweeds are 100% Herdwick & alter with each weaving.
Herdwick: Limited by Nature.
Each item we make has a dedicated page with the tweed options available. Browse through to take a look at the styles we have available.
Our shop is in central Grasmere where all products are available.

Beatrix Heelis the farmer, better known as Beatrix Potter the author; was passionate about the Herdwick Sheep breed. Her legacy to the National Trust helped ensure the breed survived.
Our products are a modern reflection of the cultural heritage of farming in Cumbria.
Filming with Kate Humble for Back to the Land was great fun but at the end of the first episode disaster had struck and our yarn wouldn't weave. Kate returned six months later to finish the story....
This was our first video; then an amateur film-maker my nephew Tom has moved onto bigger projects..most recently "The Last Press" about cider and Lands End Farm, Somerset. This film is staying put, Herdwick is all about "roots".
